Johnny Fletcher had previously been a First Division champion with Derby County before signing for Harchester United for a club record £650,000 in August 1976.
Fletcher went on the show during his time with the Dragons just exactly why he was worth the record fee after scoring goal after goal, season after season for the club.
It would be in the 1985/86 season however that Fletcher and the Dragons really came good as they repeated the success he had previously enjoyed at Derby by winning the League Championship.
Following on from that, Fletcher was then sold to local rivals Leicester City for £500,000. Eventually, the legacy left by Johnny Fletcher would be surpassed at the club by his son, Karl.
