Terry Glover first impressed manager Harry Sidwell in the 1981/82 and this led to his debut against Wolves in November 1981.
However, Glover's temperament wasn't ready for the abuse he was to receive from the Wolves strike force that day. In the second half, after bringing down John Richards and giving away a penalty, Glover just snapped and punched Richards several times before being sent off.
It would be almost 3 years before Glover played for the first team again, but when he did return, he was a changed man.
In the 1985/86 season, it was clear to see Glover was a leader and he was made captain. He went on to lead the Dragons on to become League Champions. Glover would remain at the club until July 1994 when he joined Oldham after he'd just won promotion for the Dragons.
