Pavel Kovac arrived in Harchester on a Bosman. He made his debut against Newcastle scoring two fantastic goals.
That was the only game he played for the club. He was secretly suffering with Testicular Cancer and, with the backing of the club, went to Switzerland for treatment. In the summer of 2007, Kovac left on a free transfer as he desired to be "back home" in the Czech Republic.
