Mike Maynard was such a good player in the Youth Team that he was brought into the first team by manager Harry Sidwell to make his debut against Tottenham Hotspur in Boxing Day 1980.

Maynard went on to score on his debut and really impress with his fantastic performance. However, in that same game, he was brought down and suffered a serious knee injury that would force him to retire.

Danny Mills was signed by Harchester United in August 2002 in an attempt to harden up the midfield following the tragic deaths of Stevie Shaw and Danny Rawsthorne.

For 3 seasons, Mills did exactly that in his defensive midfield roll. In May 2005, Mills suffered an injury and was left out of the Championship Play Off Final. Later that day, many of his team-mates were tragically killed.

EDDIE MOLIANO
Name: Eddie Moliano
Country: Italy
Position: Midfield

Signed from: Crystal Palace in August 1999
Left for: FC Jazz in July 2001

Eddie Moliano signed for Harchester United for £250,000 in August 1999 despite still suffering with a knee injury.

Luis Amor Rodriguez wanted to put faith in the wing-back who'd been hotly tipped as the next big thing at Selhurst Park. Moliano finally made his debut away to Rangers in the UEFA Cup.

Throughout his time with the Dragons, Moliano failed to hold down a regular first team place and in his second season with the club, he was sent on loan to Queens Park Rangers.

Upon his return, Moliano had a new lease of life which also saw him scoring a couple of very rare goals. In the summer, he was sent on loan to Finnish side FC Jazz before the move was made permanent.

GAVIN MOODY
Name: Gavin Moody
Country: England
Position: Midfield

Signed from: Youth Academy in August 2005
Left for: Hamburg in July 2011

Gavin Moody was given his debut in the Carling Cup 4th Round tie with Leeds United in which the winning goalscorer got a £1million bonus. Moody came close to scoring the goal, but didn't do it.

From then, Moody was offered a professional contract and went on to make many more appearances under Felix Hahn. But it was when Alex Rose became manager that Moody became a first team regular.

Moody went on to win the FA Cup with the team in 2006. He scored the vital winning penalty along the way in the Quarter Finals.

But it was in the 2006/07 season that Moody became a much better player. His partnership with Miguel Lopez brought him on leaps and bounds. He was voted Young Dragon of the Year for 2006 and was on the verge of playing for England, until Gavin had to miss out much of the following year after being imprisoned along with team-mates Sean Campbell and Miguel Lopez for failing to report a crime and lying to police.

Under the managerial reign of Erik Gentner, Moody struggled to get a regular place in the starting XI and fell very much out of favour behind the pairing of Liam Mackay and Marcos Rosteen.

In July 2011, Moody transferred to German club Hamburg for £5million.
