Stuart Naysmith signed for Harchester United on a free transfer in July 2002 from Manchester City and also became a part of manager Patrick Doyle's coaching staff.
Naysmith had problems with injury on the pitch and problems with his son off the pitch during his time with the Dragons. He was made manager following the sacking of Doyle in February 2003.
But his tenure as manager didn't last long as he was replaced by Alan Rothman before too long.
But this period gave Naysmith enough experience to lead the Dragons to 4th place in the Premiership when he became manager the following season. During that season, Naysmith's playing career came to an end due to injury and he admitted to a Match Fixing charge too.
