JAMIE PARKER
Name: Jamie Parker
Country: England
Position: Goalkeeper

Signed from: Chelsea in July 2000
Left for: Died in May 2003

Jamie Parker signed for Harchester United in the summer of 2000 after previously being on loan to Queens Park Rangers whilst being Chelsea's third choice keeper.

Parker was a great goalkeeper and still a relatively young age - this is why manager Ray Wyatt wanted him so badly. Before long, Parker became under pressure following a 7-0 defeat at home by Leeds.

However, the keeper went on to redeem himself with some great performances between the sticks - at least until he dislocated his shoulder in training.

Whilst nursing his injury, he became addicted to gambling and blew thousands of pounds. But Parker went on to kick the addiction and get the Dragons into the Champions League.

The following season, Parker went on to be a part of the team that reached that UEFA Cup Final. But on the way to the final, the team coach crashed killing 3 players and seriously injuring Parker.

Parker was out of the game for 8 months. When he returned, he was forced into a scheme by manager Patrick Doyle to get the club relegated that would ultimately result in Parker's death.

GARY PEGGS
Name: Gary Peggs
Country: England
Position: Defender / Midfield

Signed from: Youth Academy in June 2001
Left for: Retired in February 2002

Gary Peggs father, Jimmy, played for England back in his heyday and Gary was hoping to do the same. He was highly rated in the youth team and got his first start in the first team in August 2002.

Peggs would be in and out of the team due to his age but cemented himself a first place just after the Christmas period. Just as soon as things were going good, his career was cut short due to an accident.

LEE PRESLEY
Name: Lee Presley
Country: England
Position: Striker

Signed from: Free Agent in October 2003
Left for: Died in May 2005

Lee Presley had been in a local young offenders institute prior to signing for Harchester United. When he made the step up to the first team, he became a much mature young professional.

In his first season in the first team, Presley scored some vital goals including the goal to send the Dragons into the Champions League. This also brought himself interest from some of Europe's big clubs.

But despite the big interest, Presley's heart began to Harchester United and he remained at the club despite relegation to the Championship for Match Fixing.

Presley's goals took the Dragons to the Champions League Quarter Finals and he scored the winner in the Play Off Final to secure promotion to Premiership just hours before he was tragically killed.
