Signed from: Chelsea in July 2000

Jamie Parker signed for Harchester United in the summer of 2000 after previously being on loan to Queens Park Rangers whilst being Chelsea's third choice keeper.
Parker was a great goalkeeper and still a relatively young age - this is why manager Ray Wyatt wanted him so badly. Before long, Parker became under pressure following a 7-0 defeat at home by Leeds.
However, the keeper went on to redeem himself with some great performances between the sticks - at least until he dislocated his shoulder in training.
Whilst nursing his injury, he became addicted to gambling and blew thousands of pounds. But Parker went on to kick the addiction and get the Dragons into the Champions League.
The following season, Parker went on to be a part of the team that reached that UEFA Cup Final. But on the way to the final, the team coach crashed killing 3 players and seriously injuring Parker.
Parker was out of the game for 8 months. When he returned, he was forced into a scheme by manager Patrick Doyle to get the club relegated that would ultimately result in Parker's death. |
