PSG captain and also French International regular Marcel Sabatier signed for the Dragons in the summer of 2002 after being impressed by his former manager, Patrick Doyle's vision for the club.

Sabatier found it easy to adapt to the English game. He was captain of the club for much of his first season, until an off pitch altercation saw him dropped from the team and replaced as captain.

In his second season, Sabatier became captain once again and continued to play well. Until a bust up with manager Stuart Naysmith and other incidents led to him being replaced as captain once again.

For the remainder of the season, Sabatier did his best for the team which included one match playing in goal. As the team were on the verge of the Champions League, he was tragically murdered at night.

In 2001/02, Sullivan cemented his place in the first team and was a part of the team that went on to reach the UEFA Cup Final. Although he was involved in the tragic coach crash, Sullivan luckily escaped unharmed and went on to play in the Final, which the Dragons lost 1-0.

For the next couple of seasons, Sullivan remained a first team regular and enjoyed an eventful time with the club.

In May 2005, just hours after winning promotion to the Premiership, Sullivan was one of only three lucky survivors of the tragic coach explosion at the Millennium Stadium.

Sullivan went on to captain the side to FA Cup glory in May 2006. He was sent on loan to Southend in January 2007 where he suffered a knee injury that sadly ended his eventful career.
