Tommy Valentine was a surprise signing by the Dragons considering they'd just been relegated. But it was the lure of Champions League football that brought the Chelsea player on loan to the club.
Valentine was a great player on the pitch, but a bit of a disruption off it. He was stabbed in a Spanish bar in December 2004. After recovering, he went back to Chelsea and was instantly sold to Spartak Moscow.
