LIVERPOOL - 0 - 0 - HARCHESTER UNITED

Harchester United failed to score for the fourth time in their last six league games this afternoon as the could only manage a 0-0 draw away to Liverpool at Anfield ahead of their FA Cup clash next week.

The game was also marred by a poor challenge by Fernando Torres on Gerwaint Thomas. It later turned out that Thomas had suffered a broken metatarsal injury and will be out for 2 months.

Throughout the past week, Dragons supporters gave urged their chairman and manager to dip into the clubs finances and buy a new striker. It definately looked this afternoon that the Champions could have done with a striker.

As it were, very little chances were created in this encounter that was previously billed as a big clash of two sides hoping to qualify for the Champions League next season - in reality, it was a dire game.
