HARCHESTER UNITED - 4 - 1 - BIRMINGHAM CITY

Harchester United this week not only celebrated making the Champions League Quarter Finals, but they also enjoyed an emphatic victory over rivals Birmingham City in this midlands derby this afternoon.

But the Champions didn't have it all their own way in the first half as they struggled to keep up with the pace and attacking mentality that Blue's boss Alex McLeish had set his players.

The visitors took a suprise lead just before half time to go into the break 1-0 up. The goal came courtesy of Martin Taylor who headed into the back of Nej Husain's net.

In the second half, it was all Harchester. Gavin Moody set up Lamin Oja to equalise which was then followed by a Miguel Lopez goal. Oja went on to make it 3-1 and then thought he'd got his hat-trick until he was ruled offside. The 4-1 victory was rounded off by Ben Futcher with a header.
