DERBY COUNTY - 0 - 4 - HARCHESTER UNITED

Harchester United will have to settle for the Inter Toto Cup as their only route into European Football next season even though they hammered Derby County 4-0 at Pride Park to round of the 2007/08 season.

Everton's victory at home to Newcastle means the Dragons only finish in 6th place and therefore do not qualify for the UEFA Cup. United have though applied for the Inter Toto Cup so will be playing in that next season.

The game this afternoon though was one of Harchester United's best performances of the season away to already-relegated East Midlands rivals Derby County.

Jimmy Craig was able to field his strongest side of the season which included the recently-troubled Jason Porter and the return of the previously suspended Gavin Moody following his 5 game ban.

It was Moody who gave the Dragons the lead after 15 minutes thanks to a great through ball by Sean Campbell. It was Campbell who made it 2-0 shortly after with a headed goal.

In the second half, Jason Porter got in on the act to make it 3-0 and captain Liam Mackay rounded off the victory with what could be his last goal for the club. The game ended 4-0 but there was dissapointment from the players after a bad end to a bad league season.
