Last season's FA Cup winners Chelsea today got revenge over the side they lost to on the final day of the season that ultimately led to Harchester United becoming the Champions.

There was no last gasp winner from local hero Jason Porter this time as the Dragons inconsistent pre-season continued with a 2-0 loss to the Blues in the Community Shield at Wembley.

Didier Drogba was once again the thorn in the side of the Dragons as he set up Joe Cole for the opener in the first half. New signing Johnny Carlisle was at fault - but he came close to equalising moments later but headed wide.

In the second half, there was a disappointing display from Dwight Yorke and Ryan Naysmith. Miguel Lopez was again absent as his opposite number Drogba went on to seal the 2-0 victory for Chelsea with 5 minutes to go.
