HARCHESTER UNITED - 1 - 1 - REAL MADRID

Harchester United secured a well deserved point at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League tonight. And Gavin Moody was the man to thank not only for his equaliser, but his general contribution.

Moody didn't actually start the game and was only a substitute, coming on after 38 minutes to replace Jamie Cheeseman who took a slight knock. However, by then Real were already infront.

Work between Raul and Ruud van Nistelrooy set up Robinho to give the Spanish champions the lead in front of the travelling support. A minute later they could have been 2-0 up, but for a great save from Alex O'Mare.

Moody's arrival on the pitch seemed to influence the confidence of the side and his team work along with Jason Porter set up Miguel Lopez to get the equaliser much to the delight of the Spaniard who turned a transfer to Real down in the summer.
