HARCHESTER UNITED - 2 - 0 - HULL CITY

Harchester United won their first three points of the season this afternoon with a 2-0 victory over newly promoted Hull City in a game that also saw new keeper Paul Robinson save a late penalty.

The home side, however, once again started the game badly. Hull City had most of the possession and came close in the first 10 minutes but striker Marlon King had his effort deflected wide by defender Johnny Carlisle.

The Dragons managed to take the lead in the second half when Ryan Naysmith scored with a free kick from 25 yards. The midfielder was filling in the position that Jason Porter usual occupies, but he was out once again.

Hull City had a perfect chance to equalise in the 84th minute when Ben Futcher gave away a penalty, but Paul Robinson saved from Geovanni which then led to a break by the home side that was rounded off once again by Naysmith to secure a 2-0 win for the Dragons.
