This was the nailbiting match that completed the 1985/86 season and would see the Dragons be crowned Champions of England at the Final Whistle. Johnny Fletcher gave the Dragons the lead in the first half and as the title seemed to be going to Everton, Terry Glover scored the pentalty to win it.

LEICESTER CITY - 1 - 2 - HARCHESTER UNITED
1997/1998   -   Littlewoods FA Cup Third Round   -   January 1998

An exciting FA Cup 3rd Round tie took the Dragons to Filbert Street in a thrilling Midlands derby. It was end to end stuff with the home side taking the lead through Ian Marshall before Karl Fletcher and Dean Hocknell won the game for the Dragons. Hocknell was also sent off in this match too.

HARCHESTER UNITED - 1 - 1 - CHELSEA
1997/1998   -   FA Carling Premiership   -   May 1998

The final game of the season that went on to secure Harchester United's place in the Premiership for another season. It was also Karl Fletcher's first game back from a drugs ban - and in a script that could not be written, he went on to score the goal to keep the Dragons up.

BIRMINGHAM CITY - 1 - 2 - HARCHESTER UNITED (AET)
1998/1999   -   Axa FA Cup Fifth Round Replay   -   March 1999

After a thrilling game at Addison Road first time around, the replay was just as exciting. Karl Fletcher gave the Dragons the lead just before half time. But then, just as it looked like they were going through, Birmingham equalised in the 89th minute. Luis Amor Rodriguez scored the winner in the 120th minute.

HARCHESTER UNITED - 3 - 2 - CHARLTON ATHLETIC
1998/1999   -   Axa FA Cup Semi Final   -   April 1999

Charlton Athletic took a 2-0 half time lead in this match and looked as if they were about to stop Harchester from reaching their first ever FA Cup Final. That was until goals went in from Karl Fletcher, an unlikely Leon Richards and Luis Amor Rodriguez in injury time to make it 3-2!

HARCHESTER UNITED - 0 - 3 - COVENTRY CITY

A defeat isn't often a classic game - but it wasn't the game itself that was a classic, it was the major incident in it that saw off pitch rivals Sean Hocknell and Luis Amor Rodriguez fighting and then sent off for their shameful behaviour. The Dragons went on to crash 3-0.

Harchester United's first ever FA Cup Final was a memorable game for all the right reasons, but the shocking events after full time which saw Lynda Block shot and John Black murdered will scar many fans memories of what should have been a great day forever!

AJAX - 2 - 2 - HARCHESTER UNITED
1999/2000   -   UEFA Cup 1st Round, 2nd Leg   -   September 1999

Harchester United had it all to do in Ajax after falling 1-0 behind and 2-1 behind on aggregate. Plus they were down to 10 men. But an attack inspired by Luis Amor Rodriguez, Scott Lucas and substitute Sean Hocknell went on to make history in true Harchester style.

RCD MALLORCA - 1 - 1 - HARCHESTER UNITED
1999/2000   -   UEFA Cup Quarter Final, 2nd Leg   -   March 2000

Harchester United were trailing 1-0 from the first leg thanks to a goal scored by former hero Karl Fletcher of all people. In the second half of the second leg, Scott Lucas grabbed an aggregate equaliser but then missed a vital penalty what would have been the winner. Mallorca went on to score again.

HARCHESTER UNITED - 3 - 2 - TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

A rollercoaster season ended with a rollercoaster match. The Dragons needed nothing else but a win to stay in the Premiership and after taking a
2-0 lead, things couldn't have looked better - that was until Spurs got 2 back. In injury time, Baptiste missed a penalty but Rodriguez scored the rebound.

HARCHESTER UNITED - 3 - 2 - WEST HAM UNITED
2000/2001   -   FA Carling Premiership   -   May 2001

Another rollercoaster end to a rollercoaster season saw the Dragons needing a win the finish 3rd and qualify for the UEFA Champions League. After falling 2-1 behind to West Ham, they had it all to do until Moliano equalised with 6 minutes to go. Rawsthorne then went on to grab the winner.

HARCHESTER UNITED - 2 - 0 - DINAMO MOSCOW
2001/2002   -   UEFA Cup Semi Final, 2nd Leg   -   April 2002

A remarkable season saw Harchester United on the verge of their first ever European final. But the trailed 1-0 from the first leg. They did everything but score in the semi final second leg. But late goals from Karl Fletcher and Stevie Shaw sealed their place in the UEFA Cup Final.

CHELSEA - 0 - 1 - HARCHESTER UNITED
2002/2003   -   FA Cup Semi Final   -   April 2003

Although the Dragons were struggling in the Premiership, they'd got to the semi finals of the FA Cup and faced an in-form Chelsea at White Hart Lane. Jamie Parker had a sensational game in goal and Clyde Connelly's goal was enough to send the Dragons into the FA Cup Final.

HARCHESTER UNITED - 1 - 0 - EVERTON
2002/2003   -   FA Barclaycard Premiership   -   May 2003

After the original game was abandoned at half time due to Jamie Parker taking the team hostage, the Dragons got a replay with Everton and needed a win to stay up. Clyde Connelly got the only goal of the game and a late penalty save by Tommy Moore saved Harchester from relegation.

CHELSEA - 0 - 1 - HARCHESTER UNITED
2003/2004   -   FA Barclaycard Premiership   -   February 2004

Roman Abramovich had spent millions at Chelsea the previous summer and his side were expected to hammer a Harchester side that needed a victory to survive in business. Young Lee Presley was the man who got the goal to silence the crowd and steal the shock win for the Dragons.

CHARLTON ATHLETIC - 0 - 1 - HARCHESTER UNITED

A week prior to this game, Harchester United had gone out of business after going bankrupt. But these 11 players wanted to keep the club alive and put all their money and insurances issues aside to play this game in hope of saving the club. Captain Curtis Alexander went on to get the winning goal.

WOLVES - 4 - 3 - HARCHESTER UNITED

A thrilling game at Molineux saw Harchester United took a 3-0 half-time lead and pratically secure themselves a Champions League place. But they hand't banked on the home side coming out and getting four goals back in the second half to win the game 4-3.

HARCHESTER UNITED - 3 - 2 - MANCHESTER UNITED

The final game of the 2003/2004 season saw Manchester United visit the Lair in what was a must win game to keep the Dragons in business by qualifying for the Champions League. There were 3 goals in stoppage time and luckily, the last one secured the 3-2 win thanks to Lee Presley.

BARCELONA - 0 - 1 - HARCHESTER UNITED
2004/2005   -   UEFA Champions League Group Stage   -   December 2004

In Harchester United's first ever Champions League propper match, they lost 4-0 at home to Barcelona. So when they went to the Nou Camp just three months later in a must win game to qualify for the next phase, nobody gave them a chance. But Frank Stone didn't know that as he went to get the winner.

LAZIO - 1 - 1 - HARCHESTER UNITED (ABANDONED)
2004/2005   -   UEFA Champions League 2nd Round   -   February 2005

Harchester United arrived in Rome expecting a hostile reception from the hardcore Lazio supporters anyway - but they didn't expect their black players to recieve such racial abuse by the home support. When Nathan Woods was struck by an object thrown by the crowd, the game was abandoned.

WEST HAM UNITED - 0 - 1 - HARCHESTER UNITED
2004/2005   -   Coca Cola Championship Play Off Final   -   May 2005

After looking like certs for automatic promotion all season, Harchester United had to take the play off route instead. After blasting past Preston in the semi's, the faced former boss and new enemy Don Barker and his West Ham in the final. The Dragons went on to win the thrilling game 1-0.

CHARLTON ATHLETIC - 2 - 2 - HARCHESTER UNITED
2005/2006   -   FA Cup Sixth Round Replay   -   April 2006

Harchester United were 2-0 down to Charlton at half time in this game at The Valley. But goals from Gavin Moody and a late one from Casper Rose ensured this game would go to extra time. No further goals meant penalties in which Gavin Moody scored the decided to make a 5-3 win on penalties.

HARCHESTER UNITED - 2 - 1 - ARSENAL

Harchester United's second appearance in an FA Cup Final may not have been as exciting as first time round, but it was just as satisfying and important. An usual goalscorer in the form of Darren Tyson was the man who went on to score twice after falling behind to win the game and the Cup.

This was the magnificant game that had it all and sealed only the Dragons second ever League title. Since being a kid, Jason Porter only dreamt of being a Harchester United player, but in the 2006/07 season, the former tyre-fitters dream came true and boy did it have a happy ending for everyone!
