Harchester United could be all set to pull off the shock move of the 2012 January Transfer Window as they're set to complete the signing of David Beckham.
The former England captain has recently been having talks with L.A. Galaxy about signing a new contract at the club, however it is reported that talks have now broken down.
Beckham is said to now be pursuing a move back to Europe, with AC Milan and Paris St.Germain both current favourites to land the former Manchester United midielders signiture.
However, it has been confirmed by Harchester United chairman Vikram Palmer that the Dragons have also made an offer to sign Beckham.
Whilst he has previously played at the San Siro for AC Milan, and has past experience of working with new PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti, Beckham also enjoyed his time at Real Madrid where current Dragons boss Erik Gentner was Beckham's manager for 3 years.
However, Beckham has previously stated that he wouldn't want to sign for any other English team due to his loyalty to Manchester United.
But the recent comebacks of Paul Scholes and Thierry Henry, plus the successful loan spells of L.A. Galaxy's Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane back in the Premier League have thought to have very much wet his appetite for English football once again.
Any announcement isn't expecting until early next week, but the Dragons have said that a deal for them must be done before the end of the Transfer Window.
