Jerry Block was the lone representative of Harchester United for this mornings funeral of captain John Black.

The family of Black wished that the funeral was to be a very private family funeral. Jerry Block was asked to be the lone representative of the club and as a friend of John who saved Mr.Block’s wife, Lynda’s, life.

To end the ceremony, an eight-year old nephew placed the shirt Black was wearing when he died upon the coffin. The shirt would be buried with Black.
