Mansfield Mayor Tony Egginton
has spoke out about the possible merger between Mansfield Town and
Harchester United football club. Egginton said the idea was "absolutely bizarre". "The benefit of a football club to a town is purely and simply the name which gets us represented through the media." Prospective owner John Batchelor hasn't commented yet as to whether Mansfield would move to Harchester or whether the opposite move would occur but fans are still furiously outraged. |
