The merger between Harchester
United and Mansfield Town looks to be dead in the water or thereabouts for
the time being and many fans are happy about this.
Recent reports have stated that should the merger take place between the
clubs, John Batchelor is looking to move the club to Mansfield and would
then sell off The Dragons Lair to make funds to build the club up again.
The Football League have also stated that if any merger between any club
takes place, then the new merged club will take the position in the league
pyramid of the lowest placed club.
This would mean Harchester United playing in League Two next season. |
