Portuguese side Benfica have
confirmed recent press speculation that they have recieved a bid from
Harchester United for their Portugal international striker Luiz Costa.
The striker recently featured at the 2008 European Championships for
Portugal scoring twice and had hotly been tipped to move to a Spanish side
during the summer period.
However, a statement on the Official Benfica website confirmed that a bid
from the Dragons had been recieved but the club refused to reveal how much
the bid was and whether or not it would be accepted.
Harchester United did not make any comment regarding the development. |
