Harchester United's Irish
defender Johnny Carlisle was happy this evening after riding his luck
against Irish side Bohemians as the Dragons sailed through to the UEFA Cup
following their 4-1 win.
It could have been a different story though as following injury during
the game to keeper Alex O'Mare and the sending off of his replacement Wes
Jackman, Carlisle had to spend the final 30 minutes in goal.
Bohemians pulled a goal back to make it 4-3 on aggregate and could have
snitched in injury time with a penalty, but Carlisle pulled off a top save.
"It's all about the luck of the Irish" said Carlisle. "Scoring the 4th goal
today and pulling off that penalty save, bloody hell. Let me go and play the
lottery now..." |
